TRAILBLAZERS

March 2018-March 2020 :

As someone who grew up in the Heights, I had a great passion early on for sports and the importance for education. My involvement with the MS Baseball team was more than just a coaching role. I have a desire to mentor and lead student athletes to more fully understand their abilities and the opportunities afforded to them through Inwood Academy for Leadership.

I was the MS baseball coach at Inwood Academy for 2 years. During my time there, I assisted in keeping the athletics instagram page up-to-date for many of their sports. I would meet with the athletic director frequently to discuss the latest team information, games, and news updates. I also maintained the website page for the MS baseball team and was able to increase instagram following by 25%. I created a culture in which we would student the mental aspect of the game, in a a classroom setting. This reflected in the focus and the success of the athletes on and off the field, and in their academics. In addition, I collaborated with other coaches to produce marketing materials including photographs and videos for the team. Because of Covid our season was cancelled in 2020. I then presented the opportunity to develop a position for a marketing specialist/coordinator for the athletic department, in which I currently hold that position. I manage all photography, videography, media day, branding and marketing for the athletic department at Inwood academy.
